Writers Over Rifles does not directly take donations. Instead, we have a list of organizations that we fully support and to whom we recommend you donate. As our organization grows, however, we will start asking for personal donations in order to fund management, equipment, events, etc. You can also donate to our petition to further publicize our message.

Please donate. Every penny counts. You can make a difference. You will make a change. For every dollar you donate, that's one more dollar going toward saving a child's life.

Donate to the Petition

The Use Your Words Petition will ultimately be sent to President Donald Trump, Florida senators Marco Rubio and Bill Nelson, and Arizona senators Jeff Flake and John McCain. Donate any amount of money to our petition and it will be promoted nationwide. For every $20 crowdfunded, our petition will be available to 500 more people. NOTE: This money does not go to Writers Over Rifles, but rather to

Speak loud. Speak out. Speak up.

March for Our Lives

"On March 24, the kids and families of March For Our Lives will take to the streets of Washington DC to demand that their lives and safety become a priority and that we end gun violence and mass shootings in our schools today.

March with us in Washington DC or march in your own community. On March 24, the collective voices of the March For Our Lives movement will be heard."

Stoneman Douglas Victims' Fund

"In response to the mass shooting, the Foundation, the National Center, and GoFundMe are collaborating to serve victims by maximizing resources and ensuring a victim-centered, transparent distribution process. Broward Education Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit direct support organization solely dedicated to raising funds for Broward County Public Schools, will serve as the central repository for the Stoneman Douglas Victims’ Fund and will organize a local steering committee responsible for setting the fund’s distribution policy. The National Center for Victims of Crime, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and a leading authority on how victims are compensated for loss, will advise the committee, assist with ongoing fundraising efforts, administer victim application and vetting processes, and coordinate the distribution of proceeds from the Foundation’s official GoFundMe campaign, other fundraisers, and third-party donation sources. GoFundMe will advise the Foundation and support both ongoing fundraising and distribution of proceeds to victims and their families."

Coalition to Stop Gun Violence

"The Coalition to Stop Gun Violence seeks to secure freedom from gun violence through research, strategic engagement, and effective policy advocacy.

We are countering the gun lobby through cutting-edge policy development and aggressive advocacy. Our commitment to addressing gun violence in all its forms and advocating for at-risk individuals sets us apart."

Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence

"Brady has announced the bold goal to cut the number of U.S. gun deaths in half by 2025, based on an innovative and exciting strategy that centers on the idea of keeping guns out of the wrong hands through three impact-driven, broadly engaging campaigns: (1) a policy focus to "Finish the Job" so that life-saving Brady background checks are applied to all gun sales; (2) to "Stop 'Bad Apple' Gun Dealers" – the 5 percent of gun dealers that supply 90 percent of all crime guns; and (3) to lead a new national conversation and change social norms around the real dangers of guns in the home, to prevent the homicides, suicides, and unintentional shootings that happen every day as a result."

Everytown for Gun Safety

"Everytown is a movement of Americans working together to end gun violence and build safer communities. Gun violence touches every town in America. For too long, change has been thwarted by the Washington gun lobby and by leaders who refuse to take common-sense steps that will save lives.

But something is changing. More than 4 million mayors, moms, cops, teachers, survivors, gun owners, and everyday Americans have come together to make their own communities safer. Together, we are fighting for the changes that we know will save lives.

Everytown starts with you, and it starts in your town."

Anti-Gun Politicians' Campaigns

One way to support gun control is to donate directly to the campaigns of politicians who support gun control and have previously voted on anti-gun violence legislation. Senator Bill Nelson of Florida, a proponent of gun reform is campaigning for re-election, as well as Representative Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona.

Who you do NOT want to donate to are recipients of NRA money. Here's a list of the NRA's largest beneficiaries:
